Post Jaw Surgery Week 24

I just came back from the dentist for my monthly braces tweaking session. I wonder why it sometimes takes only 30 minutes while other appointments take over 1 hour, including waiting time. Today was a very quick appointment.

It seems like I will not have a clear idea when I can remove my braces. My orthodontist can’t confirm the estimated date. I told him I will be migrating to Australia soon and I estimate my date of migration to be some time in the middle of this year and I hope to complete my treatment before that.

My orthodontist said my upper teeth aren’t level. The teeth on the upper right side are higher than the left. What happens is, when I bite down, I feel like my upper right teeth are not touching the lower teeth. Only the left side are touching and it feels kind of weird.

My orthodontist also adjusted these “back braces” on my lower teeth because they were annoying my tongue, causing bleeding and ulcers on a few occasions.

24 Weeks Post-Jaw Surgery: Front View

I took this photo last night. You can see some pimple marks around my lips and cheeks. Damn I hate those pimples!

I have been using organic apple cider vinegar mixed with water to wipe my face a few times a day. I use this mixture as a toner to try to stop the pimples from developing. So far, it seems to be working even though I have only done it for 2 days.

Let’s hope this apple cider vinegar acne remedy can stop my pimples from growing out of control.

Nose Huggie For a Smaller Nose?

I have not received the Nose Huggie I ordered about 2 weeks ago. I wonder why shipments from overseas take so long to reach Singapore these days.

I also hope to restore my nose to my pre-surgery width. The corrective surgery on my upper jaw has caused my nose to grow wider than my pre-surgery state. My guess is this was caused by swelling of the surrounding muscles after jaw surgery and probably a difference in the position of the upper jaw bone.

This was an unwanted side effect of my double jaw surgery. Some people experience this too and not everyone is happy with their new nose shape. If the Nose Huggie does not work, I won’t consider cosmetic surgery to make my nose smaller. I’ll just live with it because it is all right.
