I woke up today feeling considerably better than the previous day. I feel like I have more energy and positivity. My jaws feel better today. I hope the healing process is going well so that I can eat some porridge soon. I don’t think I am eating enough with all the drinks I am consuming and I am concerned about my weight.
Heal, Baby, Heal!
The swelling on my face and neck has gone down. My face does not feel as hard as before and I see more yellowish areas on my jaw line and neck. My lips are 90% healed with almost zero pealing and bleeding. The lip balm is working great. Nasal discharge is also down.
On the negative side, I feel like there is a lot of plaque build up in my mouth. I have been trying to gargle more vigorously in my mouth with mouth wash … Read more…

I feel like my swelling has gone down but when I look at my photo of the day, it didn’t seem like it went down. Instead, I feel like my right side has grown bigger. You can see some yellow bruises on my neck area. They don’t hurt but they feel hard at the moment.
My Jaw Surgery Pain is Under Control
It seems like I feel great immediately after I get up but I start feeling crappy for short periods during the day. I am now taking 2 pain killers per day to manage the pain, which is pretty much non-existent now. On a scale of 1 to 10, I guess my pain is at level 1 or 2.

I feel better after resting at home. I feel like my jaws are feeling more connected to me, like it has been fused together once again. Another benefit of being at home is I can finally take photos with my digital camera instead of my mobile phone. You will be seeing better quality photos from today onwards.
My Cheeks Feel Like Rocks and I Feel Dizzy…
Swelling on my face has gone down a bit but it still feels hard and tight. Discharge from my nose and throat has greatly reduced. I still feel dizzy and weak but it still feels a lot better than the previous days.
My appetite has improved but I still can’t swallow sticky stuff. I would really love to have some vegetarian porridge and I hope to be able to do that during my second week.

Why Put Me On a Drip When I Can Drink On My Own?
I have been taking regular trips to the toilet to relieve myself but it wasn’t convenient with the drip in tow. I think they gave me too much water, which made it necessary to visit to the toilet very often. I asked my nurses why they giving so much water through the drip and they told me it is to prevent dehydration. I didn’t think it was absolutely necessary but I had to follow the hospital rules.
Golden Showers at the Hospital
I have been bathing myself since yesterday and I can’t wait to get discharged so that I can enjoy my home comforts. I remember giving myself a shower in 1 shower cubicle while 2 nurses were helping an old man get … Read more…

My doctors came to see me in the morning. One of them told me the tube in my left nostril will be removed and I will feel much better. I was hoping he would remove it immediately but the nurses removed the tube and the urine catheter after 2 hours or so.
The urine catheter was the most uncomfortable thing for me to put up with and I was glad it was removed. I still felt uncomfortable after the urine tube was removed and it lasted for about an hour. I can finally urinate on my own and it feels so much better.
The tube that went into my left nostril and down my throat gave me a sore throat. I lost 90% of my voice and when I tried to speak, I sounded like a cartoon character. Therefore, I tried not to speak and communicated via hand signals, grunts … Read more…
